About Councilmember Luna

Patsy Luna was elected to her first term as Councilmember District 2 in May, 2002. She has been a secretary in the legal and medical fields for 43 years, and was employed at the V.A. Hospital in Temple for 31 years.
Councilmember Luna is an active member and volunteer for a number of community service organizations, including:
- The Hispanic Leadership Council
- Temple Coordinated Child Care Council, Inc.
- The Greater Temple/Belton League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC)
- The Central Texas Council of Government’s Aging Advisory Council
- Various committees at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church
In addition to her community service work, Councilmember Luna is a member of the Temple College Foundation Board, a director on the Hill Country Transit District Board, director and charter member on the Development District of Central Texas Board, and a member of the Temple Sister Cities International Cooperation Committee. She was honored by the Bluebonnet Council of the Girl Scouts of the United States as a "2004 Woman of Distinction".
Councilmember Luna is married to Edward L. Luna and they have 3 children, 8 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
