Schlotzsky's Jingle Bun Run - Dec. 12
Come run with Santa for the holidays! A competitive and non competitive 5K race will be held at Scott & White's West Campus. Santa will run a 1K with the kids upon completion of the 5K. Awards will be given to the overall male and female finisher as well as the top 3 age group finishers in the competitive 5K division only.

Here Comes Santa! - Dec. 5
Santa rolls in to the Railroad and Heritage Museum from the “North Pole” by train for a visit with the children. Additional children activities and crafts will be available during the event.
Temple Trail Blazers Challenge - Sep. 19 - Dec. 12
As part of the COMMIT 2 FIT campaign,Sammons Community Center is sponsoring the Temple Trail Blazers Challenge. Put on your walking shoes or air up your bike tires and get committed to this healthy challenge. You will have 12 weeks to complete the challenge of walking or biking each designated City of Temple park trail at least once and accumulating as many miles as possible in any park. Participants will receive a complimentary trail blazer T-shirt, trails map, challenge instructions and a log sheet at the kick off event. Upon completion of the 12 week program, join the Milestone Celebration and awards presentation on December 12, 2:00PM at Sammons Community Center.

Senior Christmas Dinner - Dec. 8
An annual holiday event for local senior adults to celebrate the Christmas season. Enjoy a festive evening of fun, food and fellowship. Join us for a delicious turkey dinner with all the tasty trimmings. Holiday entertainment will be provided throughout the evening in the grand ballroom of the Mayborn Convention Center. This annual event gets more popular every year, so reservations are necessary. Sign up between November 1 and December 1 by calling or stopping by Sammons Community Center. Cost of this event is $5.00 each, payable upon registration.
