The City of Temple wants your help in designing the future of the Ferguson Park District Neighborhood!

We invite you to the Ferguson Park District Neighborhood Event on Saturday, October 27th, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Ferguson Park. This is a FREE event that the City of Temple will host to receive feedback from the Ferguson Park District Neighborhood residents and owners. Your feedback will help guide us as we develop the Ferguson Park Neighborhood Plan.  There will be free activities and games for kids to enjoy as the parents provide feedback to City staff and consultants. We will also have free food and refreshments for everyone who attends!

Ferguson Park Neighborhood Plan

The current year budget includes an allocation of funding to begin a strategic plan for the redevelopment of the Ferguson Park District Neighborhood. That project will begin very soon and the results of that plan should be used to guide the implementation of the programs proposed in the FY 2019 Budget. As part of our Neighborhood Revitalization Program, this project will develop schematic design for the water and wastewater utilities for the Ferguson Park District Neighborhood to improve the infrastructure for water delivery to the District and review wastewater infrastructure. The Concept Design will explore options for improvements to the Ferguson Park District to enhance the neighborhood. Elements for pedestrian, bike and vehicular mobility will be explored as well as beautification elements such as intersection enhancements, landscaping, signage, monuments, etc. The final product will be a conceptual design for the full extents of project and include Concept and Schematic Design for amenities such as pedestrian and bike access, landscaping, signage, connectivity, etc.
